Wagamama Kids Menu

Trying to choose something your child will actually eat? Wagamama's kids menu covers the familiar favourites, with enough choice to work around a fussy eater. Chicken katsu keeps things familiar, ramen suits children who prefer noodles and broth, and the build-your-own bento lets you leave out the things they always push to the side.

Choosing for a fussy eater

If your child has a short list of foods they'll reliably eat, start with the ingredients rather than the dish name. Chicken katsu is the obvious pick for a child who likes crispy, breaded chicken, and the sauce comes on the side, so they don't have to commit to the curry.

For a child who prefers plain food, the bento gives you more control: grilled chicken, sticky rice, cucumber and yasai gyoza is about as simple as Wagamama gets. If noodles are the one thing you can always rely on, go for ramen or yaki soba. If it's rice, go for cha han.

When sauce is the problem

Some children will eat almost anything as long as it isn't covered in sauce. The kids katsu makes that easy, because the katsu curry or sweet amai sauce comes on the side and they decide how much goes on.

Is the bento worth it?

At £7.90, the bento costs more than any of the classic dishes, and you're paying for choice rather than a bigger meal. It earns its price when your child likes one thing from one dish and something different from another. It's also handy when siblings want completely different things: one gets katsu with soba noodles, the other grilled chicken with rice and cucumber.

If your child already knows they want katsu or ramen, the classic dish is simpler and cheaper. The kids chicken katsu is £6.70, less than half the £14.90 adult version.

For children who live on noodles

Chicken ramen is the pick if they like broth. Yaki soba suits a child who'd rather have noodles in a sweet sauce than a bowl of soup. The yasai versions swap the chicken for tofu, and if gluten is the issue, both come on rice noodles.

Working around an allergy

The right choice depends on the allergy, not on whether a dish is labelled vegetarian or plant-based. Rice noodles, sticky rice, carrot, cucumber and sweetcorn list no allergens. Soba noodles contain gluten and egg, and the fish bites contain gluten and fish. The two sauces differ too: katsu curry contains gluten and mustard and may contain peanuts and tree nuts, while sweet amai contains soya.

Wagamama lists some swaps already: chicken ramen on rice noodles without egg, chicken yaki soba without egg, and yasai ramen without tofu for a soya allergy. Tell the restaurant before you order. At Wagamama, only managers take allergy orders.

Drinks and dessert

The free cococino is a warm, frothy drink, with oat or semi-skimmed milk if they need it. For dessert, the vanilla ice cream is the safe bet, the mini brownie bite is the smaller treat, and the tropical fruit lolly is the cold, fruity one. With a bento, any kids drink or dessert is £1.50 instead of the usual £2.50 to £3.30.

Going with a baby or younger child?

Every Wagamama has high chairs, space for prams and baby changing. Ask for a booth if you've got more than one child or want some room around the table. For children old enough to use them, there are mini chopsticks, activity sheets and crayons while you wait.

What about kids eat free?

There isn't a kids-eat-free offer running at the moment. The most recent was 20% off the kids menu for Soul Club members, from 25 June to 1 September 2026. That has ended.
