Students get 20% off food and drink, Sunday to Thursday. It runs through Wagamama's own app, so there is no code and no voucher site involved.

Verify you are a student
In the app. It gives you a blue tick, and the 20% only appears on accounts that have one. Already a member? You still need this step.
Show it when you pay
The discount sits with your stamps. Open it before the bill is settled.

Going at lunchtime? Check which deal wins
Weekdays 11am to 3pm you cannot have both the 20% and the £14 lunch set, and which one leaves you paying less flips on what you order. A yasai yaki soba with an espresso is cheaper with the discount. The same dish with a lemonade is cheaper on the lunch set. It is rarely more than a pound either way, but it is never obvious.

The £14 lunch set only covers eight mains. Order a katsu curry, or anything else off the main menu, and the set was never an option, so the discount wins by default.
Questions
Can I use it on the £14 lunch menu?
No. The lunch menu terms rule out every other offer and name student discount specifically. On a weekday between 11am and 3pm you pick one.
Do I need Student Beans or UNiDAYS?
No. You verify inside the Soul Club app. Voucher sites still list old Student Beans and UNiDAYS offers, which is why you will see 15% and 20% quoted in different places.
Does it work at airport branches?
No. Airports and service stations are excluded, and they price above the standard menu anyway.
Will I still get my Soul Club stamp?
Only if the bill is still £12 or more after the 20% comes off. A single katsu curry drops to £11.92, which misses it by 8p.
