Gluten-free ramen at Wagamama
That gives you quite a few options, whether you're after a bowl of ramen, a curry with rice or something sweet after your meal. But the gluten-free menu isn't the same as the full menu with a few dishes taken off. Some popular choices are excluded, and a few dishes that don't list gluten as an ingredient still carry a may-contain warning.
You don't have to give up ramen. The gluten-free options use rice noodles instead of wheat-based noodles, with grilled chicken, gochujang pork belly and signature seafood among the choices. If ramen is what you came for, start with the dishes listed below.

How to order gluten-free at Wagamama
Tell your server that you need to order from the gluten-free menu once you're seated. Wagamama's stated procedure is for a manager to take your order and the head chef to prepare it, using a cleaned or separate wok, ladle and other utensils.
These controls are intended to keep gluten below 20 ppm. However, gluten is handled in Wagamama kitchens, so the restaurant says it cannot guarantee a dish is 100% free of gluten.
If you have coeliac disease, make your dietary requirement clear when ordering and ask the team about the preparation procedure. Don't assume that a dish is suitable just because it doesn't contain gluten as an ingredient. Also, avoid Wagamama's standard soy sauce, as it contains gluten.
What's not on the Wagamama gluten-free menu?
The biggest omission is katsu curry. Both the panko breadcrumbs and the katsu sauce contain gluten, so switching the side or choosing a different protein won't make the standard dish gluten-free.
Gyoza, bao buns, all yaki soba, udon and teppanyaki noodle dishes, wraps, lunch boxes, ebi katsu, hot honey fried chicken and the other desserts are also off the gluten-free menu.
Chilli squid, bang bang cauliflower and koko prawn crackers don't list gluten as an ingredient, but all carry a may-contain gluten warning and aren't included on the gluten-free menu. That distinction matters: the absence of gluten from an ingredient list doesn't automatically make a dish suitable for a gluten-free order.
Does Wagamama have a gluten-free kids' menu?
Yes. Mini chicken ramen and mini yasai ramen come with rice noodles. The mini yaki soba and mini yasai yaki soba can be adapted by switching to rice noodles and leaving out the amai sauce. Mini cha han and mini yasai cha han are also available without the amai sauce.

Kids' katsu is excluded because the chicken or other protein is breaded. As with the adult menu, tell your server about the gluten-free requirement so the appropriate ordering and preparation procedure can be followed. See the full kids menu.
Which Wagamama drinks are gluten-free?
The gluten-free menu includes juices, coffees, green tea, soft drinks, wines, prosecco, cocktails and Sxollie cider. There's no beer on it.
Asahi, by contrast, contains gluten. If you're ordering a beer, check which one you're choosing rather than assuming all lagers are suitable.
